This program is designed to prepare nurses for practice in the fast-paced and constantly evolving field of surgical nursing. Interns will take part in an extended orientation that includes classroom instruction, hands-on training in both foundational and advanced surgical skills, clinical experience, and the development of critical thinking. The curriculum follows best practices and current standards in surgical nursing. All nurses providing direct patient care are expected to demonstrate competencies specific to the surgical patient population.As an OR RN Intern, you will participate in a full-time, day-shift orientation lasting approximately 6 to 8 months.
