Job PostJob Requirements:Provide professional leadership and direction to the patient care teamPerform patient age-specific physical, psychological, and social assessmentsResponsible for the formulation of a nursing diagnosis, and the development of a plan of care to include individualized treatment strategiesResponsible for the management, organization, and performance of direct patient care incorporating clinical decision making, and prioritization of activitiesAbility to provide appropriate education to the patients family, and other health care team members; to include both pre and post-surgical information, interventions, and planningResponsible for the supervision of other staff, such as Scrub Technicians, LPN Nursing staff, and the CSR AideAssist in providing for the physical comfort and safety of the patientAssist in creating an environment which lends itself creativity, cooperation, and coordination of patient care in the ORAssist in care preparation, and maintenance of sterile and unsterile supplies and equipmentAssist with tasks related to maintaining an effective working environment in the ORAssist and perform duties as delegated; take alternate call, and assure availability when needed for emergency cases; knowing that these functions may be either as a Scrub Nurse or Circulating NurseAssists the OR Manager in the maintenance of necessary records and reports, and sufficient sterile and non-sterile supplies for proper functioning of the OR DepartmentAssists in the staff development program for personnel assigned to the OR DepartmentOther Experience and Qualifications:One to Three Years Med/Surg Experience preferredRegistered as a Registered NurseAbility to use full range of body motion and dexterity to allow significant handling, transferring, pushing/pulling and lifting of patients and equipmentAbility to frequently lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift, carry, push or pull over 50 poundsAbility to stand and or walk 80-90% of shift and sit 10-20% of shiftAbility to use good hand/eye coordination and finger dexterityAbility to use good perception and discrimination related to odor, color and texturesAbility to use good perception and discrimination related to functional visual ability and depth perception, sound perception and functional speechAbility to frequently bend, twist, balance and reach above and below shoulder level; as well as occasionally kneel and climb as necessary to perform job dutiesAbility to wear gloves and other protective equipmentAbility to work irregular hoursAbility to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, to handle constantly changing situations and to create a positive work environmentAbility to deal with a variety of people, stressful situations and handle conflict, while maintaining a positive work environmentAbility to communicate in a professional manner both verbally and in writingAbility and willingness to gain new skills and knowledge necessary for the performance of essential job functionsApplication Instructions:Apply online
