Operational Excellence & Process Engineering Manager(Food manufacturing industry)Our client is an established company within the food manufacturing sector, known for its strong focus on quality, efficiency, and long‑term innovation. To further strengthen their operations and drive impactful improvements across production, they are looking for an Operational Excellence & Process Engineering Manager.In this hybrid role, you combine continuous improvement leadership with process engineering oversight, enabling you to truly shape how the organisation evolves.Your RoleAs the Operational Excellence & Process Engineering Manager, you will lead initiatives that enhance efficiency, safety, and quality while ensuring reliable production processes. You act as a connector between R&D, Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and operational teams, translating opportunities into tangible results.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Excellence & Continuous ImprovementIdentify and define opportunities for improvement, including waste reduction, efficiency gains, and cost savings.Plan, facilitate, and execute improvement projects using proven project management and CI methodologies.Monitor progress and report on impact to internal stakeholders.Coach and guide cross‑functional teams to embed a continuous improvement mindset.Support change management initiatives and new ways of working.Sample project domains include:Production capacity expansionLogistics network analysis and optimisation (including international flows)Process Engineering LeadershipLead and coach the process engineering team responsible for both production and packaging processes.Safeguard the reliability, quality, and safety of all installations and processes.Bridge the gap between R&D and production to ensure smooth integration of new products and technologies.Create a culture of collaboration, engagement, and technical competence within your team.Drive daily operational improvements and long‑term performance enhancements.Your ProfileMaster’s degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Business/Operations Management, or equivalent experience.Strong analytical skills and a structured, process‑oriented mindset.Proven experience in continuous improvement methods (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to develop and motivate teams.Strong communication, project management and stakeholder management skills.Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food or chemicals/pharmaceuticals Fluency in French; Dutch and English are strong assets (or similar multilingual comfort).What’s in It for YouIn this role, you will leverage your analytical skills and leadership to deliver meaningful improvements.
