Job Overview:
The Operational Excellence (OpX) Engineer drives the Operational Excellence initiatives (programs & projects). The OpX Engineer assists in the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of the production process with a focus on the Lean Principles. He/she aims to sustainably develop & implement World Class Operations capabilities & best practices in the factory together with the production team.
The Operational Excellence (OpX) Engineer drives the Operational Excellence initiatives (programs & projects). The OpX Engineer assists in the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of the production process with a focus on the Lean Principles. He/she aims to sustainably develop & implement World Class Operations capabilities & best practices in the factory together with the production team.
Responsibilities:
1. Drive the implementation of a Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing change program for Operational Excellence. Monitor, report and communicate the progress.
2. Develop, implement, and monitor the programs and project management processes.
3. Prioritize and implement key improvement opportunities through identification of waste, inefficiencies, key process failures and weaknesses through the Operations Value Chain.
4. Provide active support in rational problem-solving and performance improvement projects at all level of the organization.
5. Identify, train, and coach in lean concepts.
6. Oversee a team of Kaizen Technicians and direct their work focused on driving quick frontline improvements.
