Role: Operational Support Specialist CEM Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role One of our clients is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Inspection Technician to perform regular inspections on critical safety and operational equipment across their facility. This role plays a key part in maintaining regulatory compliance and ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel. Key Responsibilities Fire Safety Equipment Perform monthly fire extinguisher inspections Coordinate and oversee annual fire extinguisher inspections with certified vendors Conduct routine inspections of fire suppression pumps Facility Safety Inspections Inspect ladders for structural integrity and compliance Perform anchor point and fall protection equipment inspections Conduct handrail, stairway, and walkway safety inspections Rigging & Lifting Equipment Inspect hoists, lifts, slings, and rigging equipment for wear, damage, and compliance Perform inspections and maintenance checks on man lifts, skid steers, and forklifts Maintain accurate logbook entries for all equipment and inspections Emergency & Health Equipment Inspect AED units to ensure operational readiness Perform regular checks on emergency eyewash stations Documentation & Reporting Accurately document all inspection findings Report defects and safety concerns promptly Maintain up-to-date and accessible inspection records Promote and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements Education High school diploma or equivalent, or 3 years of equivalent experience Experience 1–3 years of experience in equipment or safety inspections, maintenance, or related field Travel 0–10% Additional Requirements Knowledge of MSHA standards and safety regulations is a plus Comfortable working at heights and in industrial environments Ability to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping Ability to work in varied environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor, hot/cold) Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders throughout the workday Must adhere to all safety protocols and properly use required PPE, including respirators when applicable 401(k) pre-tax and/or Roth options Employee Stock Purchase Plan Medical, Dental, Disability, and Life Insurance Health Savings Accounts (HSA) & Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Vision and voluntary benefits Paid time off and paid holidays Paid parental leave Educational assistance program Flexible dress policy Equal Opportunity Statement One of our clients is committed to creating an inclusive workplace and providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants.
