Operations Accounting Analyst

This is a Contract-to-Hire role with our client in Angleton, TX

Workplace Type: On-site, 5 days/week

Assignment Length: Minimum 2 months with potential for permanent hire

Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented professional to support day-to-day operational and transactional activities within our client in their Angleton, TX plant. This is not a plug-and-play processing role — we’re looking for someone who brings critical thinking, ownership, and a proactive mindset to ensure transactions are accurate and aligned with business operations.

This is an immediate need with a minimum 2-month commitment and strong potential to convert into a permanent Office Manager for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and validate transactions related to billing and invoicing, inventory receipts, work order processing
• Review and ensure accuracy of data within the ERP system (JD Edwards)
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues with a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach
• Partner with operations and plant personnel to ensure alignment between system data and physical activity
• Maintain organized documentation and support process improvements where needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Demonstrated experience in accounts payable and billing
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to think beyond transactional processing
• A “take-charge” attitude — someone who can step in, assess situations, and drive resolution
• Experience working in an ERP system (JD Edwards experience strongly preferred)
• Background in accounting, operations, inventory, or manufacturing environments is a plus
• Comfortable working fully on-site in a plant setting
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
