Operations and Program Manager Apply

HIP is an organization rooted in health innovation, systems improvement, program planning, implementation, and strategic and sustainability planning. The Operations and Program Manager will manage and execute programs and operations deliverables assigned to their portfolio. Some duties and responsibilities for this role include:
Operations and Finance:
- Serve as a key player in strengthening and optimizing organizational operations management, including developing operational policies and procedures.
- Lead and collaborate on workspace process improvements and enhancements
- Work closely with the Operations and Programs to advance the organizations strategy to develop, implement, assess, and administer all programs.
- Identify and develop finance process improvement opportunities, including workflow development and tracking systems.
Programs:
- Plan, set goals, and delegate tasks, ensuring successful implementation of assigned programs in alignment with strategic objectives, utilizing project management skills and tools.
- Provide facilitative leadership and maintain up-to-date knowledge of CalAIM policy and implementation.
- Maintain subject matter knowledge in programmatic areas of focus, often researching and staying abreast of health care policy and issues particularly around CalAIM, ECM, and Community Supports.
- Gather feedback from member organizations and larger CalAIM network partners that will inform HIP in identifying and addressing challenges.
- Day-to-day project management of the Santa Cruz County PATH CPI Initiative.
- Support local CalAIM partners in becoming ECM/CS providers or expanding capacity.
- Local in-county travel for partner convenings (as requested).
- Additional travel to Sacramento or elsewhere in California may be required to attend funder-related convenings 2-4 times per year.
Qualifications:
- Minimum education: Bachelors degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Business/Public Administration, Nursing, Social Work, or related field preferred, or commensurate years of experience
- Minimum three years of project management experience in healthcare and/or an equivalent combination of higher education and experience.
- If an internal promotion, the employee must meet 70%-80% of the core competencies for role eligibility.
- Experience in public speaking and facilitation of stakeholder meetings.
- Experience with stakeholder management, engagement, and coalition building.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary, cross-cultural healthcare work environment
- Knowledge of healthcare entities, community-based organizations, and social service organizations in Santa Cruz County
- Knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and G-Suite, including advanced skills in Excel
- Advanced skills in utilizing virtual meeting platforms like Zoom (meeting, webinar, etc.)
- Demonstrated competency with project analysis, reporting, and presentations
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work on a collaborative team
- Professional writing skills in English
- Event planning and organizing experience
Compensation and Classification
To continue our commitment to equity and because we understand that salary negotiations inherently have an unfair bias we do not participate in a salary negotiation process for candidates. The Operations and Program Manager role corresponds to level 3A, with an annual salary of $80,959. On the first year of employment, full-time staff members accrue 21 days of PTO. This position will report to HIPs Operations and Programs Director. Candidates must be authorized to work for any US employer. Unfortunately, we are unable to support visa sponsorship at this time.
This position is time-limited and is expected to end on December 30, 2024, with the potential for extension depending on funding availability. Candidates based in Santa Cruz County and surrounding counties are preferred.
