As an Operations Leader, reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be required to be an experienced and skilled manufacturing leader who can lead and manage a team, ensure financial and production goals are met, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Work Assignments: Establish tasks and responsibilities for subordinates. Rule Enforcement: Enforce company rules and regulations, and attendance policy. Collective Bargaining Agreement: Interpret and correctly apply the CBA. Supervision: Perform supervisory responsibilities, such as hiring and firing, disciplinary actions, and professional development. Work Analysis: Analyze work status to determine if production schedules and quality guidelines will be met. Planning and Coordination: Create recovery plans and corrective actions, and coordinate with different departments. Financial Objectives: Ensure financial goals and objectives set by the department are met. Training and Safety: Ensure employees receive proper training and safety rules are followed. Equipment Maintenance: Analyze and diagnose equipment problems and malfunctions to expedite corrective actions. Development and Evaluation: Participate in internal programs, such as performance evaluations and salary administration, and maintain current training in technical and supervisory skills. How to thrive in this role? You have a minimum of 4 years of Manufacturing experience. You have a minimum of 3 years leadership / Supervisory or Lead experience. You have Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, all levels of management team, and other departments. You demonstrate strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to develop people and build a strong team. You have strong Verbal and written communications skills. You have training skills necessary to provide employee training. You have planning and organization skills necessary to plan, prioritize and coordinate workload of assigned employees within a multiple project setting. You have union experience preferred.
