JOIN OUR HISTORIC TOURS OF AMERICA FAMILY Position Summary This Manager position uses operational skills to ensure high-quality service and guest experience at the Key West Shipwreck Treasures Museum. This position is a positive role model and ambassador for the Museum. Responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operations while keeping to the Company's mission to be The Nation's Storyteller. This position requires a good sense of responsibility to lead and manage others with the ability to motivate the staff and promote a harmonious workplace. Follow museum closing procedures ensuring everything is prepared for leaving at the end of the day.Monitor sales going on and "Drive" the sales program to ensure that the daily sales goals are met or exceeded.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Have management/supervisory ability in personnel, fiscal, and property managementHigh degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently or as a team within the scope of established rules and regulationsAbility to plan, organize, direct, and coordinate the work of assigned personnel; ability to provide leadership training, counsel, motivation, disciplining staff; processing grievances and constructive performance reviews to staff, securing their commitment to the department and company goals.Ability to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, and external parties.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in arts or business or equivalent is preferredDemonstrated experience in acting, stagecraft, set design, directing, and creative writing are requiredInterest in history is helpfulAbility to speak foreign languages is helpfulValid FL Driver's License preferred with acceptable driving record for the past 3 years.Successful candidate must undergo a drug test and a background search
