Location Greater Brevard County Area (Melbourne, FL) Summary As an Operations Manager , you will lead daily service and installation operations with a focus on fire and commercial security systems across the Greater Brevard County area. You’ll manage a team of technicians, overseeing projects from kickoff through completion to ensure work is delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role partners closely with sales and customers to set expectations, coordinate scheduling, and drive a seamless installation experience. Why Join Vector Security Established brand with a strong reputation in commercial security and fire systems High‑performing, collaborative team environment with strong morale across operations and sales Opportunity to lead and develop a skilled team with a mix of tenured and developing technicians Ongoing training and support, including paid certifications (FASA/BASA, NICET, etc.) Comprehensive operational support including project management, field support, and program resources Competitive compensation including base salary, bonus opportunity, company vehicle, and phone What You'll Do Lead day-to-day operations for service and installation teams, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget Manage the full lifecycle of installation projects, including permitting, scheduling, material ordering, execution, and closeout Work closely with sales teams to review new projects, set realistic customer expectations, and ensure a smooth transition from sale to installation Provide technical guidance and support to field technicians working on alarm, CCTV, access control, and fire systems Monitor team productivity, ensuring technicians are effectively utilized and meeting performance expectations Recruit, hire, train, and develop technicians while providing ongoing coaching and performance management Maintain inventory and ensure fleet readiness to support operational needs Communicate proactively with customers regarding timelines, expectations, and project updates to deliver a strong customer experience Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and permitting requirements What You'll Need High school diploma or equivalent ; technical or trade school preferred Minimum of 5+ years of experience working with security, fire alarm, CCTV, and access control systems Fire systems experience (installation, service, and/or inspections) required, with at least 3+ years of hands‑on experience Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or management experience leading field teams Strong knowledge of permitting processes, fire codes, and industry regulations Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams and set clear expectations with customers Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Experience with Microsoft Office and operational systems NICET Level III certification or higher strongly preferred FASA/BASA certification preferred What You'll Get Company vehicle + gas card Quarterly bonus eligibility Performance‑based corporate incentive trips Competitive base salary plus short‑term incentive Medical, dental, and vision coverage Company paid life and AD&D insurance Company paid short‑ and long‑term disability Voluntary benefit products 401(k) retirement savings plan Flexible Spending Account Paid time off Employee Assistance Program (EAP) About Us We are one of the largest security integrators in the country, and we have proudly been installing innovative security and smart automation solutions in homes and businesses for over 50 years.
