What ties it all together are the friendly faces you’ll find along the way, the thoughtful amenities, and the delightful details that make every visit feel personal and unforgettable./ Responsible for scheduling, training, coaching and discipling the guest service agents and submitting time sheets weekly./ Responsible for safe and efficient food and beverage operations; training of all food and beverage department personnel and labor cost control, and producing a consistently high quality dining experience according to lodge standards./ Attend staff meetings, safety briefings daily/ Provide excellent guest service to guests and other team members/ Make sound judgements and anticipate issues and opportunities/ Handle comments, complaints and concerns with high level of efficiency in the best interest of the guest/ Work closely with all other departments to ensure overall guest satisfaction/ Ensure the guests’ special needs are met/ Greet arriving/departing guests in a professional and pleasant manner/ Be knowledgeable of daily functions or activities incurring at the Lodge and in area in order to answer guests’ questions/ In conjunction with General Manager responsible for the overall management and operation of all Fox Island facilities/ Ensures all cash is secured, deposits are made on a regular basis, and submitted to KFT accounting in a timely manner/ Participates in monitoring the operational and labor budget/ Responsible for maintaining routine and emergency channels of communication with the Kenai Fjords Tour office in Seward/ Coordinates with Kenai Fjords Tours office and vessels staff for arrival times, passenger counts, shuttle times and supply delivery/ Ensures the food and beverage product served is of consistently high quality and is delivered to the guest in a timely manner/ Participates in emergency response activities including firefighting, emergency medical activities (within an employee’s training limitations) and other incidents/ Arrive to work on time, ready to work, dressed in clean uniform, with a neat and clean appearance/ Coordinate and assist the General Manager and Chef in ordering, special island events, scheduling, staffing and safety training in order to foster exceptional teamwork and improve the guest experience/ Other duties as assigned/ Knowledge of KFT products and KFT operations, including details regarding boat tours and transportation operations/ Proficient using industry-standard computer software and databases/ Work extended hours, various shifts, and on holidays and weekends/ Live in close quarters with others in a remote wilderness settingWe're more than a hospitality and attractions company.
