Location: Lamesa, TX (Onsite | Monday Friday | 24/7 Operation On-call; some weekends as needed)
Salary: $91,000 $150,000/year + 15% ABIP bonus (eligible March 2027)
Relocation: Available nationwide

About the Company:
Client is a leading global performance materials company with over 125 years of expertise in mining, processing, logistics, and materials science. Headquartered in Katy, TX, the company operates 26 facilities across the U.S. through subsidiaries EP Minerals and SandBox Logistics .

Role Overview:
The Operations Manager will oversee plant production, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations while maintaining quality, safety, and environmental standards. This role requires strong leadership, collaboration with maintenance and mine personnel, and the ability to manage budgets and optimize productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and coordinate plant operations and production processes.
  2. Collaborate with maintenance to manage preventive and reactive maintenance.
  3. Ensure compliance with EHS and MSHA safety regulations.
  4. Plan, budget, and report on production and cost control.
  5. Drive continuous improvement in production, safety, and efficiency.
  6. Provide leadership and training to production teams.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Geological Sciences or Engineering (or) High school diploma/GED with 7+ years in maintenance.
  2. 10+ years of progressive mine/production management experience, including 5+ years in a management role.
  3. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
  5. Valid driver's license and ability to maneuver throughout mine and plant.

Preferred:

  1. Mining engineering or operations background.
  2. Experience developing cost-effective, systemic process improvements.

Travel: Up to 20%
