Our Construction Equipment group is seeking a highly organized, process-oriented Operations Manager to oversee and support our Orland Park and South Elgin branches. The expected base salary for this role ranges between $130,000- $140,000 USD based on candidate experience, plus potential bonuses. This role will focus on driving efficiency across service, parts, and rental functions while building a strong, cohesive team culture. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of improving workflows, managing performance, and leading people within a dealership, equipment, or related service-based industry. Implement, monitor, and refine processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Partner with Service and Parts Managers to ensure alignment with company goals and performance metrics. Lead and support staff development, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety. Manage operational KPIs including technician efficiency, parts turns, rental utilization, and customer satisfaction. Ensure accurate reporting, cost control, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance branch performance and customer service. Qualifications 5+ years of operations or branch management experience in heavy equipment, automotive, construction, or related industries. Strong organizational and process management skills with attention to detail. Proven ability to build and lead cohesive, high-performing teams. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Solid understanding of service department workflows, parts inventory control, and rental operations. Proficiency with business systems (ERP, CRM, or dealership management software preferred). Physical Demands / Work Environment Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will talk/hear; Frequently will stand, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms; Occasionally will walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
