Minimum And Additional Requirements
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for required work experience.
SCDC Minimum Requirements
(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).
Preferred Qualifications: Institutional commissary experience

- Under general supervision from the commissary administrator, plan, coordinate and direct the institutional commissary operations to include laundry and barber functions while adhering to the agency mission: safety, service and stewardship.
- Inspect institutional commissaries, laundry facilities and barber shops to ensure compliance with policy.
- Serve as a supervisor to all commissary, laundry, and barber shop employees alongside the institutional Associate Warden.
- Assist with inventories.
- Perform the functions of commissary administrator when required.
- Require travel to institutions on a regular basis.
- Daily inmate contact.
