Esquire Bank is seeking an On-Site back-office Operations Payments Support Specialist in Jericho, Long Island (New York). The individual’s initial responsibility will be to provide daily assistance with the processing of Wire transfers, ACH Processing, customer service and diversified operational support within the department and throughout the other departments within the institution.Principal Responsibilities:Process and input all domestic and foreign wire transfer payments and administrative messages into the Wire Transfer system while adhering to department guidelines, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements governing Wire Transfers.Verifies and posts all incoming wires to customer accounts.Review of customer-originated outgoing wire transfers received via Online Banking.Perform necessary wire verification call backs as needed.Ensure ACH Origination files have been processed successfully.Assist in onboarding ACH Origination Customers.Process ACH disputes in accordance with NACHA Rules.Process wires or ACH in the various queues such as Review, Exceptions, Suspends, Over limits etc.Monitor incoming Real Time Payments to ensure transactions have been posted.Process various types of payments, both domestically and internationally, in accordance with banking regulations.Handle call-in customer inquiries along with processing of call-back verification.Perform other ad hoc responsibilities as needed within the Operations department.Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing guidance on payment processes and resolving payment-related queries.Educate clients and internal staff on payment tools, technologies, and best practices to optimize service utilization.Oversee payment transactions to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and address any discrepancies or fraud concerns.Analyze client feedback and industry trends to enhance existing payment products and identify new opportunities to meet demands.Work with internal teams (e.g., IT, Compliance, Risk) to ensure seamless delivery of payment services and integration with banking platforms.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes impacting banking payments.Monitor payment processing systems to ensure accuracy and timeliness of customer payments.Provides support to Department Manager in departmental projects, defining and recommending procedural changes.Research and resolve wire validation errors.Adhere to established policies and procedures.Ensure that all activities are performed in compliance with industry, Federal, State and Bank Secrecy Act regulatory requirements.This role requires a deep understanding of payment systems and banking operations.Background and Experience:A five plus years’ experience in banking operations, payments with concentration in Wires and ACH preferred.Proven experience with payment systems (e.g., Domestic Wire, International Wire, ACH, Real Time Payments).Proficiency in payment technologies and banking platforms with working knowledge of various Fiserv products such as Signature, WireXchange, and Remote Deposit Capture, a plus.Familiarity with digital payment platforms and fintech solutions.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment and can effectively prioritize, supervise, and identify risk.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.Knowledge of Banking Regulations.Proficient with Microsoft Office product suite.Location: Esquire Bank, Jericho, NYFull time – M-F 8:30 am - 5:30 pmEstimated Salary Range:$55,000 - $75,000 / yearCompensation may vary based on education, skills, qualifications and/or expertise.
