Job Summary:

The Operations Program Specialist will assist in fulfilling agency records requests, support the ASBCS Online system and state website, support the business operations of the office, provide assistance to the office with communication, training, and workplace culture, and report to the Executive Director directly to take on special projects needed throughout the office that do not necessarily sit with any other division.

The Operations Program Specialist is established to help facilitate communication and support for the charter community, Board staff, and constituents.

This position may be available for remote work within Arizona. This is a part-time position for 25 hours per week.

Job Duties:

  • Preparing and sending written communications to charter holders and other charter stakeholders and managing the Board's communication plan and communication platforms
  • Preparing, organizing, and assisting in agency special projects as assigned by the Executive Director
  • Assisting the Operational Divisions with responsibilities such as facilitating regular Board meetings, completing student records requests, and updating the Board's website and Online System
  • Preparing, organizing, and assisting the agency with work culture such as providing training, maintaining the staff resource hub, and scheduling events

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge:

  • Operational experience or experience working in an office or school setting is preferred
  • English Grammar and Business Writing, including proper email etiquette

Skills:

  • Providing quality customer service
  • Analyzing and compiling data, organizing facts, and drawing clear and logical conclusions
  • Organizing tasks and managing projects to ensure timely completion
  • Communicating clearly, concisely, and effectively both in oral and written formats
  • Moderate to high-level experience required in -Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Basic use of Google Suite

Abilities:

  • Basic use of virtual presentation programs such as Zoom and Google Meet
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff, state and federal officials, school leaders, and members of the public
  • Think critically and problem-solve quickly and effectively
  • Conduct research and use analytical processes to identify issues and trends
  • Prioritize and execute day-to-day responsibilities to best respond to the work of the ASBCS
  • Work in a team environment. Be a self-starter who seeks out opportunities to grow and learn new skills

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, then the following requirements apply: Drivers License Requirements.
