Job Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Operations Specialist to oversee daily warehouse and logistics operations at our Laredo facility. This role requires strong floor supervision, workforce coordination, and close follow-up with transport vendors to ensure smooth inbound, sorting, and dispatch activities while meeting client expectations and operational KPIs.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in fast-paced warehouse or last-mile environments.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Floor Operations

• Supervise daily warehouse operations including inbound, sorting, staging, and dispatch.
• Manage shift planning, labor attendance, and manpower allocation based on daily volumes.
• Assign tasks to warehouse staff and monitor productivity.
• Ensure operational discipline, safety compliance, and workflow efficiency.

Dispatch & Vendor Coordination

• Coordinate with trucking vendors regarding vehicle availability and dispatch schedules.
• Ensure on-time dispatch execution and resolve operational delays.
• Monitor load planning and outbound movement accuracy.

Client & Internal Coordination

• Respond to client inquiries related to shipment status and dispatch updates.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service-level compliance.
• Escalate operational issues when required.

Inventory & Consumables Management

• Monitor usage of warehouse consumables (packaging materials, tape, cutters, etc.).
• Raise replenishment requests to avoid operational disruption.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

• Track daily productivity, KPIs, and service levels.
• Prepare daily operational reports for management review.
• Identify improvement areas and implement corrective actions.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Experience Requirements

• Valid U.S. work authorization (U.S. Citizen, Green Card holder, or authorized to work without sponsorship).
• Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or last-mile operations.
• Experience in shift supervision and manpower planning.
• Experience coordinating with trucking vendors and dispatch operations.
• Strong communication skills for client and team coordination.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
