Day in the life:
- Leading a team of Animal Technicians, Veterinary Assistants and Veterinary Technicians
- Responsible for 1:1’s and training for employees
- Ensuring coverage and assessing staffing needs daily
- Performance management and coaching for success
- Cross functional teamwork with the other supervisors
- Administrative duties to include timecards, supply purchasing and budgeting
Schedule:
- Full Time: On-site, 40 hours/week
- Five 8-hour shifts per week
- Shift days will be Tuesdays-Saturdays
- Shift times are 7:00 AM- 8:15 PM weekdays and 7:00 AM- 6:15 PM weekends
Pay: $24-25/hour depending upon experience

Job Purpose:
You’re a people centric dynamic leader who supports and develops the team by caring personally and challenging professionally. What you will be doing:
Leadership — Own outcomes, work collaboratively, and hold self and the team accountable. Model the coaching approach to leadership and participate in peer group management.
Strategy — Understand and commit to the requirement of excellence, continuous improvement, and operations and organizational goals. Ensure consistent and quality service delivery.
Communication — Listen, pay attention, and be a responsible steward of information. Distill and convey information in a clear, complete, and timely manner in alignment with organizational messaging.
Support — Lead the team, consulting experts as needed for any training. Purchase and manage supplies, budget, manage time records, bank deposits, and perform and assist with rounds.
Culture — Foster an open and inclusive work environment by modeling AHS’s behaviors and values, consistent with the vision and mission of the organization. Champion a culture of safety and promote meaningful volunteer engagement.

Requirements
What we are looking for:
Schedule — Regular, predictable attendance, punctuality, and availability to work during operational hours as defined by leadership with the expectation to work varied hours including evening and weekend shifts.
Experience — Leadership experience or proven ability to step in as a manager required. Customer service and/or veterinary operations experience preferred.
Computer Skills — Proficient with computers, specifically, a working knowledge of Microsoft products.
Adaptability — Ability to work in a professional and positive manner with high attention to detail in a variety of situations and the willingness to assist at other sites.
Communication — Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, must have ability to work as a leader of the team and partner collaboratively with external and internal customers and departments.
Physical Capabilities — Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must have a high level of resiliency.
