ABOUT THE ROLE
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of the warehouse and will lead a team of Warehouse Associates and serve as the primary point of contact for resolving operational issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to receive and verify incoming product shipments against purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Ensure proper storage of inventory in designated locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits.
- Coordinate with purchasing to manage stock levels, reorder points, and minimize excess stock.
- Ensure all products are stored and handled according to company standards.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
- Work with the warehouse team to optimize warehouse processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Utilize warehouse management software (e.g., Solar Eclipse) for tracking, reporting, and overall warehouse performance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by adhering to best practices.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Report and assist in resolving any safety issues or incidents promptly.
- Oversee the daily tasks of the warehouse team to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
- Serve as the main point of contact for resolving issues and coordinating with other departments.
- Foster strong relationships to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A bachelor's degree or additional certification in warehousing/logistics is a plus.
- Proficiency with warehouse management software, particularly Solar Eclipse, is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in a leadership or management role within warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, electrical products, and industry regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Capability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as needed.
- Safe operation of warehouse equipment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel as necessary (minimal travel required).
