Job Description:
The Operator Advanced position performs the startup of machines in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures. This position monitors the machine while running and ensures the product being produced meets customer quality requirements. This position assists in troubleshooting, style changes, and repairing machines. In addition, this position trains others to successfully operate assigned machinery.
Reports to: Team Lead
Responsibilities:
Take personal ownership to work safely every day and hold other team members to the same high standards of safety
Fix unsafe conditions and report them immediately to supervisor
Responsible for setting up and operating machines to meet the production orders requirements
Notify appropriate personnel of any equipment malfunctions
Visually inspect production and take corrective action
Performs quality checks on products being produced
Participate in safety and housekeeping programs as established by facility
Keep working area clean throughout shift
Operates the machine in a safe and efficient manner
Performs daily maintenance on machine
Assists in maintaining stock levels of the creels
Repairs broken inputs or stitch yarn
Completes daily operating reports
Identifies problems and suggest methods to correct them
Works independently with minimal supervision
Able to solve problems independently
Regularly accomplishes performance standards for assigned machines
Changes beams and restrings as needed
Responsible for appearance of finished fabric and pallets
Avoid any problems leading to scrap or missed production
Participate in Process Teams, supporting the Team's goals for each area of expectation on your shift.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
Two years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Operate a computer or other keyboard instruments
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions
Must work well in a team environment
Must be self-motivated to work; independently and meet targets
Must have to ability to do basic mathematical calculations
Read a metric tape measure
