JOB SUMMARY Monitor all movements in to and out of the station or terminal, including: mainline operations of pumping units, transferring product to storage tanks; making valve lineups, and operating pumps.
Participate on the facility emergency response team.
Assist technicians with maintenance duties and perform general maintenance duties as directed by the supervisor.
Comply with company policies and procedures, including System Integrity Plan (SIP) and OQ requirements and implement them into location work practices.
Works diligently and follows all safety requirements to prevent product contamination, spills, and avoid product loss.
Attend and actively participate in safety training meetings.
Please note: This facility has 8 hour rotating shifts.

Job Profile Summary

Assist with or perform activities related to pipeline system operations.

Maintain the pipeline and its supporting operational and monitoring equipment in compliance with regulations, company work practices, and safety standards. Ensure the reliability of equipment, and accurate measurement and quality of product transported through the system.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Assist with and/or perform operations and maintenance activities on systems including pumping facilities, measurement facilities, storage facilities, truck loading rack and related equipment which may include, but is not limited to:

Startup and shutdown

Pigging

Collecting liquids

Gauging tanks

Construction watch

Monitor usage and/or replace lubricants, fluids, inhibitors, chemicals, etc., as needed to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment

Assist in calculations, compile, and/or prepare information and reports including, but not limited to:

Gas/liquid flow and quality

Maintenance and/or repair logs

Samples (gas/liquids)

Pipeline/corrosion activities

Appropriate regulatory requirements

Construction inspection

Drive and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehicles

React immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others

Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline. Job duties also require the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions, could result in serious injury or property damage.
