| 1. General job duties. Types of procedures required. Job Summary: Performs a variety of duties in the operating room to assist the surgical team. Must have excellent sense of responsibility for maintaining sterile standards. Provides prompt and accurate assistance to surgical team during operative procedures. Assists in preparation, transportation, and supervision of patients under direct supervision of surgical services RN staff. 2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) EPIC system 3. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Completion of operating room scrub tech course is desirable. 4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc) BLS 5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) will not work alone, call will be 1 2 nights per week and 1 of every 4 weekends Will work 36 hrs per week 6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?) no 7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 2 Surgery suites, 2 scope rooms, outpatient surgeries 8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. Comments:*MUST HAVE STERILIZATION EXPERIENCE* Cannot guarantee more than 32 hours but may get up to 40 hours a week. Shifts are variable from day to day, but typically the department is open from 6am to 4pm Monday - Friday This position would be 4-5 days a week (likely 4) with 2 to 3 call shifts per week and every 3rd weekend call with potential to move to every 4th weekend. Weekend call is Friday, Saturday and Sunday
