Oracle Database Administrator, Amazon Web Services, MongoDB, Informatica PowerCenter, Cloud, Oracle Cloud, Oracle DBA Job Description The Oracle Database Administrator must have at least 5+ years of experience. Primary responsibilities of the Database Administrator include supporting database operations such as database performance monitoring, query optimization, code deployments, stored procedure development, access management, and database analysis. In this role, you will be responsible for operating in Oracle and Exadata (Informix and SQL Server a plus) and supporting database re-platforming efforts. You will create database objects, investigate performance issues, and monitor database performance. Golden Gate experience is a plus. You will work closely with the current DBA team, Data Architects, Data Analysts, and database owners to support both short-term work requests and long-term strategic implementation. Strong technical and communication skills are required to convey findings and recommendations to large groups. Primary Responsibilities Support ongoing efforts and provide technical support for multiple database re-platforming efforts to Exadata. Assist in setup and implementation of GoldenGate data replication. Optimize and tune SQL queries and indexes in database environments. Monitor database performance related to memory usage, proper backups, active sessions, long-running queries, tablespace configuration, and space allocations. Coordinate with Data Architects and Data Analysts on building schemas, tables, functions, views, stored procedures, and roles with extensive knowledge of best practices. Coordinate with Automation teams for scheduling of various jobs to be executed on multiple databases. Provide DBA supervision and Oracle best practices guidance for custom application development and routine database administrative efforts. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or another related field or equivalent. Qualifications 5+ years of both logical and physical DBA experience, including experience across Oracle and Exadata. Experience with Informix, SQL Server, Hadoop, MongoDB, or Microsoft Access database a plus. Extensive working knowledge of all aspects of ETL processing, including GoldenGate (Informatica a plus). 5+ years of Data Governance experience and working knowledge of best practices. Familiarity with JIRA workflow processes and Agile methodology. Working experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, DBeaver, TOAD, or Oracle SQL Developer. Good communication skills. Self‑motivated. Capable of presenting to all levels of audiences. Works well in a team environment. Experience with MDM methodology and tools a plus.
