Job title: Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Project Manager / Upgrade LeadLocation: Hengelo, NetherlandsRate: € competitive hourly rateJob type: ContractHybrid: 1 day per week in office (Tuesdays) Standard Hours: 24 hours per week (16 hours or 32 hours per week can also be acceptable) Seeking a senior Oracle EBS Consultant to lead a major Oracle EBS 12.2.14 Upgrade end-to-end. This is a hands-on contract role requiring deep expertise in Oracle EBS R12 architecture and functional configuration.Role OverviewAs an Oracle EBS Upgrade Consultant, you will join the IS/IT ERP Squad and take full ownership of our upcoming major upgrade from Oracle EBS version 12.2.08 to version 12.2.14. You will be responsible for the end‑to‑end execution of the upgrade project, including planning, coordination, stakeholder alignment, and hands‑on configuration work when needed.You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, technical specialists, and our external hosting partner to ensure a smooth, controlled, and successful transition to the new Oracle EBS release.This assignment requires a seasoned Oracle EBS professional who can combine project leadership with practical expertise in EBS modules, configuration, and upgrade best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the Oracle EBS upgrade project from initiation to go‑live and stabilization.Work with a detailed project plan, including scope, timelines, dependencies, and risk management.Coordinate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, validate impacts, and align expectations.Collaborate with the ERP Squad to leverage existing knowledge and ensure functional and technical alignment.Manage communication and coordination with the external hosting provider regarding environment setup, migrations, and technical readiness.Oversee and support functional and technical upgrade activities, including configuration, data validation, and regression testing.Facilitate and support user acceptance testing (UAT) and training activities.Ensure proper documentation of changes, configurations, and procedures.Provide hands‑on support in Oracle EBS configuration and troubleshooting when required.Monitor progress, report status to the Product Owner, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.Drive continuous improvement and knowledge transfer within the ERP Squad.Required Qualifications & ExperienceExperience with Oracle E‑Business Suite, including major upgrades or migrations.Strong understanding of Oracle EBS architecture, modules, configuration, and integration points.Proven experience in leading or coordinating complex ERP upgrade projects.Hands‑on experience with Oracle EBS functional configuration (e.g., Finance, SCM, HR, or other relevant modules).Assignment DetailsExpected duration: 6–9 monthsPossible extension: Yes, depending on project progress and follow‑up needsAbout ThalesThales offers untold opportunities to take part in fascinating projects and overcome ambitious human and technological challenges.
