We are looking to hire an Order Entry Specialist in the city of Rancho Cucamonga, CA This is a contract to hire opportunity to join our Production department.
Pay: $21-24.00/hour
Schedule: Monday- Friday; (7:30am-4:00pm)
Summary: As an Order Entry Specialist, you are responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the production schedules of a company to ensure maximum efficiency and optimal output. You make sure that deadlines are met, which affects the overall workflow of a company across multiple teams and departments. As an Order Entry Specialist, you will be able to correct existing data, update and develop new and existing data and be comfortable working independently with large amounts of numerical and written data.
Order Entry - Essential Functions
Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; and establishing entry priorities.
Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Update databases or records with new information as it becomes available
Correct and modify inaccurate files and records
Enter data into appropriate fields; databases, records, and files
Handle numerical data accurately
Create and organizing spreadsheets with large numbers
Comply with security backups and regular checks to ensure data is saved and stored properly
Summarizing and compiling data for standardized reports
Protect the information and identities of customers/client
Organizing paper formats, paper backups, and material source files as needed
Ability to receive, identify, and organize parts and samples
Identify customer requirements, due date, and pricing on purchase orders and enter them into the database
Contact customers with questions on incomplete purchase orders and/or changes in pricing
Read detailed specifications and identify testing methods and acceptance criteria in a timely manner
Create production floor travelers with acceptance criteria and test method information
Plan and distribute the correct number of samples and accompanying paperwork to the testing departments
Communicate clearly with customers and team members

Qualifications
Must have an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, administration or related field OR at least three (3) years previous experience in data entry or equivalent experience in a related field
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly of Excel spreadsheets
Excellent and precise data entry and typing skills.
Ability to work independently, strong attention to detail
Able to quickly and accurately type and enter data
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to keep information confidential.
In-depth understanding of databases
Must have an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, administration or related field OR at least three (3) years previous experience in data entry or equivalent experience in a related field

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer for 8 hours or more.
Required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when entering the Warehouse/SHOP
Noise level is usually low to moderate. Must be able to work in low to moderate noisy environments.
Fast-paced environment, subject to numerous schedule and priority changes and short notice activity.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
Position requires reaching, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers to utilize the computer, talking and/or hearing, and seeing.
