Our manufacturing client near Darien, IL is seeking a detail-oriented Order Management/Customer Service Specialist to support incoming customer orders, internal communication flow, and overall customer satisfaction. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering long-term stability and growth potential.

Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage customer orders from entry through delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.
- Serve as a primary customer contact for order status, shipping updates, product inquiries, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and inventory teams to ensure on-time delivery and smooth order flow.
- Review purchase orders for accuracy, pricing, lead times, and special requirements.
- Maintain accurate records in the order management system and update customers proactively.
- Troubleshoot order discrepancies, delays, or quality issues with a solutions-focused mindset.
- Support general customer service tasks, including phone support and email communication.
- Previous experience in order management, customer service, manufacturing coordination, or related roles.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work onsite daily in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with order entry systems; strong computer skills preferred.
