Order PullerThe Building Center, Inc. is looking for an Order Puller to join their team in Holly Hill, SC. This position reports to the Operations Manager and is an hourly, non-exempt role.Summary: Pulls assigned orders for delivery and assists walk-in customers with their orders.Job Duties:Operates company forklift in a processional, safe, and courteous mannerPulls assigned orders for deliveryPuts orders in staging area and marks the ticket number on product to help ensure the right product is shippedPerforms daily maintenance checks and reports malfunctions to Operations ManagerNotifies Dispatchers if products are out of stockKeeps shipping and warehouse areas clean at all timesEnsures all tickets are complete before turning in to designated spotPerforms other duties, as assignedQualifications & Requirements:Forklift CertificationAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memosAbility to write simple correspondenceAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organizationAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, written or oral instructionsAbility to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situationsEducation/Experience:High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 200 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; outdoor weather conditions; and vibration.
