Position Summary: Royalty Medical Solutions is looking for an experienced and compassionate Ortho Tech to join our client's dedicated orthopedic team. As an Ortho Tech, you will play a vital role in assisting orthopedic surgeons and healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will be responsible for applying and removing casts, splints, and orthopedic devices, as well as providing patient education and support throughout the treatment process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply, remove, and adjust casts, splints, and orthopedic devices under the direction of healthcare providers
  • Assist with the preparation and setup of surgical instruments and equipment for orthopedic procedures
  • Educate patients and their families about cast care, mobility aids, and rehabilitation protocols
  • Monitor patients for signs of complications or discomfort related to their orthopedic treatment
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and treatments
  • Collaborate with the orthopedic team to provide thorough and compassionate patient care
  • Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of orthopedic tools and equipment
  • Assist with administrative duties, including scheduling follow-up appointments

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited orthopedic technician program preferred
  • Previous experience as an Ortho Tech or in a related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of orthopedic procedures, terminology, and anatomy
  • Ability to provide excellent patient care and support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic understanding of medical imaging and diagnostic techniques
  • Certification through the National Board for Certification of Orthopedic Technologists (NBOT) is a plus
