Youngstown area industrial distribution company has an immediate opening for an outside sales person. This position entails visitation to local and regional customer locations for the purpose of servicing existing and new industrial manufacturing clients and facilities in the selection and promotion of employer’s products. The qualified candidate will be assigned a local regional sales territory with existing clients to manage and will be responsible for maintaining current business relationships, as well as growing new business opportunities.
Knowledge and/or experience working with mechanical drives, power transmission components, electric motors & controls, and related items as used in manufacturing will be a big plus. Prior employment experience in manufacturing, engineering, industrial sales, or related life skills, as well as experience in the automotive, heavy equipment, or industrial maintenance fields will be given strong consideration.
The existing staff will provide much assistance, guidance, and training to encourage and enhance the candidate’s working knowledge and skills. Good communication skills, an ability to learn new products, and an eagerness to advance are key. Age is not a hindrance and anyone wishing to make a career change, may be semi-retired, or a young person looking to advance professionally, will all be given due consideration.
This position includes a base salary, a generous commission schedule, and a monthly expense allowance. Working hours are generally 8-4:30, M-F. All holidays taken.
