Job Summary: The Packager I is responsible for the final preparation of High-Performance doors for shipment. This role involves carefully inspecting, protecting, and crating doors to ensure they arrive at their destination without damage. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have a strong commitment to quality and safety, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Perform a final quality check on finished doors to ensure they meet company standards and customer specifications after packaging
  • Apply protective materials (e.g., foam, bubble wrap, corner protectors) to doors to prevent scratches, dents, and other damage during transit
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Fulfill production orders on time to meet product delivery times
  • Accurately label packages with shipping information, product details, and handling instructions as needed. Complete all necessary confirmations and documentation for each shipment.
  • Provide feedback for process improvement opportunities that would enhance safety, productivity, or efficiency.
  • Maintain and improve area cleanliness to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ability to flex into other work areas as needed
  • Assist with inventory of packaging materials and report shortages to the supervisor.
  • Work closely with the production, shipping, and quality control teams to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Must be willing to work overtime when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High attention to detail
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or packaging role is preferred
  • Prioritization skills
  • Ability to use hand tools

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Essential Physical Functions:

  • Be able to safely lift or move at least 50 lbs.
  • Be able to safely climb stairs or ladder.
  • Be able to work in cold or hot working conditions
  • Must be able to Bend, Stoop, Squat, Kneel

    Equipment Used:

    The candidate may be required to use a variety of hand tools such as saws, drills, impact drivers, saws, pneumatic air guns, and tape measures.
