Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize packaging solutions for new and existing products. Select and qualify appropriate packaging materials based on product requirements, cost, and sustainability. Conduct packaging performance testing and validation to ensure product protection, quality, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to integrate packaging designs and processes into production lines. Identify and implement cost-reduction and efficiency improvements for packaging materials and operations. Ensure all packaging designs adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and company specifications. Manage packaging projects from concept development through to successful implementation and continuous improvement. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. 3+ years of experience in packaging development, design, or engineering within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, ArtiosCAD) for package design and specification. Strong knowledge of various packaging materials (plastics, paperboard, corrugated, metals) and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with packaging testing standards (e.g., ISTA, ASTM) and regulatory compliance.
