Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and qualify packaging solutions for new and existing products. Conduct packaging material selection, testing, and validation to ensure product protection and regulatory compliance. Optimize packaging designs for cost reduction, manufacturing efficiency, and sustainability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate packaging into product development and production processes. Manage packaging supplier relationships, including specification development and quality assurance. Troubleshoot packaging-related issues on the production line and implement corrective actions. Ensure all packaging meets relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. 3-5+ years of experience in packaging development or engineering within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with packaging design software (e.g., ArtiosCAD, SolidWorks) and knowledge of various packaging materials and machinery. Familiarity with packaging testing standards (ISTA, ASTM) and relevant industry regulations (e.g., GMP, FDA). Proven ability to manage packaging projects from concept to launch, including cost analysis and vendor collaboration. Bonus Qualifications Experience with sustainable packaging design principles and materials. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) for packaging design. Demonstrated experience in packaging cost reduction initiatives or value engineering projects.
