Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize packaging solutions for new and existing products. Conduct testing and validation of packaging materials and designs to ensure product protection and integrity. Select appropriate packaging materials based on cost, performance, sustainability, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to integrate packaging into product development. Identify and implement cost reduction and efficiency improvements in packaging processes and materials. Ensure all packaging complies with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality specifications. Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting packaging equipment and resolving line issues. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in packaging development or engineering within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and knowledge of various packaging materials and manufacturing processes. Experience with packaging testing methodologies (ISTA, ASTM) and quality standards. Demonstrated ability to manage packaging projects from concept through production launch. Bonus Qualifications Experience with sustainable packaging design principles and life cycle assessment (LCA). Certification or practical experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. Proficiency with packaging optimization software (e.g., CAPE, TOPS) for palletization and freight efficiency. Familiarity with automated packaging line equipment and robotics.
