Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Montague seeking Packaging Engineers who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and qualify new packaging solutions for manufactured products. Optimize existing packaging for cost reduction, material efficiency, and sustainability. Conduct testing and validation of packaging materials and designs to ensure product protection and integrity. Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and external suppliers to integrate packaging requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues on the production line to minimize downtime and waste. Ensure all packaging solutions comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company specifications. Manage packaging projects from initial concept through to successful implementation and launch. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. 3+ years of experience in packaging development and design within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, ArtiosCAD) for packaging design and specification. Strong knowledge of various packaging materials, testing methodologies (e.g., ISTA, ASTM), and manufacturing processes. Demonstrated ability to optimize packaging for cost, sustainability, and manufacturing efficiency.
