Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize packaging solutions for new and existing products. Select, test, and qualify packaging materials, components, and suppliers. Conduct packaging performance testing, validation, and root cause analysis. Identify and implement cost reduction and efficiency improvements for packaging. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, manufacturing, supply chain) on packaging projects. Ensure packaging compliance with industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements. Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting packaging issues and optimizing line performance. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. 3+ years of experience in packaging development and engineering within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and knowledge of various packaging materials and machinery. Demonstrated ability to manage packaging projects from concept to launch, including testing and validation. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards (e.g., GMP, ISO), and supply chain considerations. Bonus Qualifications Knowledge of sustainable packaging materials and practices (e.g., recyclability, compostability, reduced virgin material use). Experience with specialized packaging design software (e.g., ArtiosCAD, CAPE, TOPS). Familiarity with automated packaging machinery and line integration. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience. Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
