Packaging Engineer Our client is a leading biotechnology company with a key site in Breda, focused on packaging, labeling, and distributing medicines across Europe and beyond. We are seeking a Packaging Engineer to join their team!Currently we are looking for a packaging engineer that can help us in bringing packaging specifications and configurations to the next level. The packaging components on scope of the team are primary and secondary labels, cartons, partitions, leaflets, shippers, pallets, WIP trays. Out of scope are primary containers. In this role you will be working closely together with the rest of the (international) packaging team, QA and the artwork team. As you will be a spider in the web, communication and relationship building is key. Technical documentation is important part of this position (50%).Your responsibilities will include:The packaging components on scope of the team are: labels, cartons, partitions, leaflets, shippers, pallets, WIP plastic trays. Out of scope are primary containers.Documenting packaging component specifications, technical reports and change of documentation according to Change Control procedures;Creating, reviewing and approving testing protocol and reports as required;Assisting in trouble shooting and leading investigation on Packaging Component problems for areas like production, warehouse, incoming inspection (minor and major deviation lead);Developing and improving technical contact with existing approved suppliers;Leading or contributing to projects related to packaging component optimization or new packaging introductions;Collaborating with cross-functional teams (i.e. QA, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Equipment Engineering and Validation Engineering).QualificationsA degree in (Packaging) Design, Engineering and/or related professional experience in Pharmaceutical Packaging Engineering. Understanding of secundary/tertiary packaging materials and experience is a plusExcellent understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices;Excellent organizational, project management, technical problem solving and communication (written and verbal in English) skills;The ability to work in teams and adapt to dynamic environment;Good understanding of materials and equipment used in secondary and tertiary (pharmaceutical) packaging industry;Experienced in creation of packaging materials specifications, including technical layout templates;Good understanding of the link between packaging materials specifications, production requirements, artwork requirements, supplier requirements, regulatory requirements, etc.;Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex situations and problems;Benefits:Besides secondary benefits such as 30 vacations days you will receive a gross year salary between €59.599,- and €62.528,-Interested in this opportunity?
