We are seeking a Packaging Engineer to join our team on a contract basis to support and lead packaging initiatives across multiple projects. This role requires a highly self-motivated professional who is comfortable working remotely while independently driving projects and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have hands-on packaging engineering experience, strong project leadership skills, and the ability to manage initiatives with minimal day‑to‑day oversight. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage packaging engineering projects from concept through execution Collaborate remotely with cross‑functional teams including R&D, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain Drive packaging development, optimization, and troubleshooting efforts Ensure packaging solutions meet functionality, quality, cost, and timeline requirements Independently manage multiple projects and priorities in a remote environment Prepare documentation, specifications, and project updates as needed Support continuous improvement initiatives related to packaging processes and materials Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field Approximately 3+ years of packaging engineering experience Strong ability to work independently and take ownership of projects Proven experience leading projects with limited direct supervision Excellent communication skills, especially in a remote work setting Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams Food or CPG packaging experience is a plus, but not required Preferred Location Mexico City (near the company’s Tech Center) or El Paso, TX (Remote work is required regardless of location due to distributed teams) Why This Role High level of autonomy and ownership Opportunity to work on impactful packaging projects Flexible location options Competitive contract compensation Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of El Paso, TX.
