About the CompanyOur client, a global consumer products company, is seeking a Packaging Engineer to support the packaging development team. This role will focus on data collection, specification creation, documentation management, and packaging testing support. The position works closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure packaging data accuracy and compliance with internal standards.About the RoleThis role will focus on data collection, specification creation, documentation management, and packaging testing support.ResponsibilitiesCollect packaging data including weights, dimensions, materials, volumes, and pack-out configurations following internal proceduresAnalyze and interpret packaging data received from external suppliers against internal requirementsPopulate and maintain data within Excel spreadsheets, specifications, and internal systemsRead and interpret technical packaging drawings and supplier specifications and translate them into internal documentationCreate and maintain BOM structures, component specifications, and finished good specifications within the product lifecycle management systemOrganize and maintain packaging component and finished good samplesPrepare samples and create test requests for packaging qualification labsSupport lab technicians in conducting packaging quality tests, documenting results, and completing test reportsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred2+ years of experience in packaging engineering or packaging developmentExperience within consumer goods, cosmetics, or related manufacturing industries is preferredExperience with packaging specifications, documentation systems, or lifecycle management toolsMust be authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basisRequired SkillsExcellent communication and collaboration skills with internal teams and external suppliersStrong organizational skills to manage documentation, materials, and dataHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and learn quicklyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)Experience working with CAD or technical drawingsPreferred SkillsExperience within consumer goods, cosmetics, or related manufacturing industries is preferredPay range and compensation packagePay Rate: $38–$48/hour
