To support the continued expansion and to elevate packaging capabilities, we’re looking for a Packaging Engineer to join the dynamic team.This is a hands-on, cross-functional role where you’ll play a key part in the development, validation, and continuous improvement of packaging solutions across the region. If you're ready to make a measurable impact in a business that thrives on pace, collaboration, and excellence this could be the opportunity for you.What You’ll Be Doing:Collaborating with co-packers, bottlers, and cross-functional team to ensure packaging meets technical and compliance standardsLeading packaging trials and validation across primary, secondary, and tertiary formats (e.g., cans, trays, shrink films, pallet wraps)Developing, maintaining, and validating packaging specifications and documentationManaging packaging data systems including component weights and palletisation details (SAP/Evolve)Supporting packaging supplier and co-packer auditsDriving sustainability and value engineering initiatives across the packaging supply chainTroubleshooting packaging complaints and identifying performance improvements at co-packer sitesWhat You’ll Bring:Minimum 4 years experience in packaging technology, ideally within the beverage industryKnowledge of packaging validation, specification management, and sustainability practicesA natural problem solver, able to understand how components should work togetherStrong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExperience working in cross-functional and collaborative environmentsSolid organisational skills and the ability to work independentlyProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook)Email: nathan.collinson@advocate-group.co.ukWe look forward to your application for this exciting opportunity.The Advocate Group is a leading recruitment partner, based in the UK, to the FMCG and consumer product sectors.
