Job Summary We’re seeking a Packaging Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a large manufacturer in Suffolk, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, however anyone with at least 2 years of experience as a Packaging Engineer should apply. This is a direct‑hire role with room for growth. The candidate should have experience with Packaging Design projects from conception to completion, including designing packaging, trial sampling, vendor/supplier approvals, and materials testing. Location Suffolk, VA Job Type Permanent Salary $75,000 – 85,000 per year Work Hours 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Education Bachelor’s degree Responsibilities Lead packaging projects in the food industry. Collaborate with facilities to generate packaging for existing or new projects, evaluating, researching, and developing solutions for multiple projects simultaneously. Focus on continuous improvement, quality, growth initiatives, and cost‑reduction. Maintain an onsite presence daily in Suffolk, VA, with up to two monthly trips to sites in TN, NE, and IL.
