The Packaging Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, validating, and optimizing packaging systems to support Product Transfer and New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives. This role requires hands‑on experience working with packaging lines, filling equipment, automation systems, and manufacturing processes to ensure seamless integration and operational efficiency. The engineer will lead packaging validation and testing activities while supporting GMP compliance and continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Design, develop, and test packaging containers and systems used for product protection, storage, and distribution. Determine packaging specifications based on product characteristics, cost limitations, regulatory requirements, and environmental factors such as moisture, temperature, light exposure, and handling conditions. Support Product Transfer and New Product Introduction (NPI) projects through packaging validation and testing activities. Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to ensure packaging processes integrate effectively with packaging lines, filling equipment, and automation systems. Conduct packaging validation activities and generate documentation to support GMP compliance. Perform root cause analysis to identify packaging issues and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reliability. Utilize engineering tools such as SolidWorks, Minitab, or similar software to design, analyze, and improve packaging solutions. Support prototype packaging line development and implementation in manufacturing facilities. Develop and maintain packaging documentation and specifications. Other duties maybe assigned. Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience in packaging engineering within a manufacturing environment (medical device, pharmaceutical, or regulated industry preferred). Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering completed. Experience supporting packaging validation, testing, and product transfer activities. Hands‑on experience working with packaging lines, filling equipment, and automation systems. Proficiency in engineering tools such as SolidWorks, Minitab, or similar design/analysis software. Knowledge of GMP regulations and documentation practices. Skills Collaboration & Teamwork – Ability to work cross‑functionally and adapt to changing project requirements. Strong communication skills in English and Spanish preferred. Problem‑Solving & Continuous Improvement – Demonstrates analytical thinking and structured root cause analysis to drive process improvements. Attention to Detail – Strong focus on accuracy, quality, and compliance in packaging design and validation activities. Willing to work 100% On‑site in Villlalba, PR #J-18808-Ljbffr
