BuildLabs Summer Internship Program “Learning Beyond” – Construction Accounting & Finance Management Location: BuildLabs Office, Bridgehampton, NY Duration: June through August Schedule: 30–40 hours per week Compensation: $20 per hour About BuildLabs BuildLabs is a luxury residential construction firm with multiple operating entities and project sites. Our Accounting and Finance team plays a critical role in ensuring accuracy, transparency, and financial health across every phase of construction. Our internship program is designed to provide real exposure to construction finance in a fast-paced, professional environment. Internship Overview The Construction Accounting & Finance Intern will support the accounting and finance team with day-to-day financial operations related to active construction projects. This role offers hands‑on experience in construction accounting, job costing, budgeting, accounts payable and receivable, and financial reporting within a real‑world setting. Key Responsibilities Assist with accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, and data entry Assist with accounts receivables, including tracking billings, payments, and follow‑ups Support job cost tracking and cost coding across active projects Assist with invoice reconciliation and vendor/subcontractor records Help organize and maintain financial records related to projects, vendors, and clients Assist with budget tracking and variance reporting Support month‑end close activities and internal financial reporting Gain exposure to construction‑specific accounting practices, internal controls, and financial workflows Work closely with project managers and office staff to understand how financial decisions impact the field What We’re Looking For Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field Strong attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable working with spreadsheets and financial data Interest in construction, real estate, or project‑based accounting Professional communication skills and discretion with confidential information What You’ll Gain Hands‑on experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable in a construction environment Real world exposure to job costing, budgeting, and financial reporting Insight into how financial management supports successful construction projects Mentorship from experienced accounting and finance professionals A strong foundation for careers in accounting, finance, or construction management #J-18808-Ljbffr
