CARFAIR - PAINT FIBERGLASS COATING SPECIALIST (STARTING $21.73)

Carfair Composites is a leader in fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) design and composites technology and has dedicated team members located in facilities between Winnipeg, MB (Canada), St. Cloud, MN (USA), and Anniston, AL (USA), Wausaukee, WI (USA) and Gillett, WI (USA).

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Paint / Fiberglass Coating Specialist will work across paint, gel coat, and buff-back final finish operations to produce high-quality fiberglass components that meet customer specifications. Team members are cross-trained across functions and support production needs throughout the facility.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Apply paint and gel coat to fiberglass components to meet quality and production standards
  • Inspect parts throughout the process to identify and correct defects
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain spray and gel equipment
  • Perform buff-back and final finishing to match customer specifications
  • Follow route cards and procedures to ensure correct materials and processes are used
  • Maintain equipment and work areas to prevent downtime and quality issues
  • Follow all safety guidelines and properly use PPE
  • Accurately complete required documentation

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Experience in composites, fiberglass, automotive paint, or similar manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend/reach regularly, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
