Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Panel Builder to assemble, wire, and test electrical control panels according to engineering drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate has strong electrical knowledge, attention to detail, and hands-on experience building industrial control panels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and assemble electrical control panels, junction boxes, and enclosures
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
  • Install and wire components such as PLCs, VFDs, relays, breakers, power supplies, and terminal blocks
  • Perform point-to-point wiring and labeling to industry standards
  • Test panels for functionality, continuity, and compliance with specifications
  • Troubleshoot wiring issues and make necessary corrections
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area following safety procedures
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project managers
  • Document work completed and report any issues or material shortages

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical panel building or related electrical work
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
  • Familiarity with industrial control components and wiring standards
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PLC systems and automation controls
  • Knowledge of UL 508A standards (or similar)
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Electrical certification or apprenticeship experience

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Perform repetitive hand and arm movements

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing or workshop setting
  • May involve exposure to noise, dust, and electrical equipment
