Overview Flaherty & O’Hara is seeking a full-time paralegal or legal assistant. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Flaherty & O’Hara is a law firm that provides liquor licensing, transactional, and related services to a variety of local, regional, and national clients in the alcohol industry. The firm has developed proprietary software, Evergreen Renewal Services, to manage and file license renewals for clients nationwide. This position will involve collaborating with an attorney who specializes in alcohol-related issues to serve national clients with a broad reach across the U.S., including direct client contact, preparation and filing of applications, legal research, and liquor license renewals. Responsibilities Collaborate with an attorney who specializes in alcohol-related issues to serve national clients. Direct client contact and preparation and filing of liquor license applications. Conduct legal research and support liquor license renewals using Evergreen Renewal Services. Support a range of liquor licensing and related transactional services for local, regional, and national clients. Qualifications Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational, proofreading, and computer skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Experience with an electronic file management system (preferred: NetDocs). Experience with an electronic billing system (preferred: TABS or Practicemaster). Paralegal certificate not required.
