Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal specializing in probate and trust administration to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of probate, estate settlement, and trust management processes. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a client-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in managing estate and trust administration cases from inception to completion.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including petitions, inventories, accountings, and affidavits.
  • Coordinate with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and court officials to gather and exchange necessary information.
  • Handle probate filings and ensure compliance with court deadlines.
  • Work with financial advisors and CPAs to gather necessary documents for the preparation of income tax returns for estates and trusts.
  • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Manage asset valuations, transfers, and distributions for estates and trusts.
  • Conduct legal research and provide administrative support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a paralegal specializing in estate and trust administration.
  • Strong knowledge of probate laws, trust laws, and estate tax regulations.
  • Proficiency with legal software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Certification as a paralegal or equivalent credentials preferred.
