Job Title: Personal Injury Paralegal

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling personal injury cases, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Manage personal injury cases from intake through resolution, including drafting pleadings, subpoenas, and discovery responses.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as a point of contact for clients, ensuring they are informed about case progress and responding to inquiries promptly.
  • Document Preparation: Draft and review legal documents such as demand letters, settlement agreements, and correspondence.
  • Medical Records: Obtain, review, and summarize medical records and bills for case evaluation.
  • Litigation Support: Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and preparing trial notebooks.
  • Investigations: Conduct fact-finding investigations, including gathering police reports, witness statements, and other relevant evidence.
  • Calendar Management: Maintain and track deadlines, hearings, depositions, and court dates.
  • E-Filing: File documents electronically with state and federal courts.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on personal injury cases.
  • Education: Paralegal certification or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Familiarity with personal injury processes, including settlement negotiations and litigation.
    • Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
