Full job description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented paralegal/ legal administrative assistant to join our personal injury legal team. The person will provide administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of our law office. The ideal candidate will have strong legal administrative skills and be familiar with legal case management and research. The right candidate could work part-time or full-time. If part-time, they would start at about 25 hours a week, with a possibility of working more hours. Ideal candidate will work fully in office in Norwood, MA.

Duties:
- Assist attorney in managing legal cases, including organizing files, scheduling appointments, and maintaining calendar
- Prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Handle light bookkeeping duties (e.g., entering firm expenses, client costs, etc.)
- Prepare correspondence and communicate via phone and email
- File documents with the court and other relevant agencies
- Manage document management systems, such as Microsoft Office, Abacus or similar software
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Assist in preparing for trials and hearings by organizing exhibits and other supporting materials

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in both plaintiff's personal injury and insurance defense work
- Strong knowledge of legal administrative procedures and terminology
- Proficient in using document management systems and legal research tools
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
