Job OpportunityOne (1) Full-time position (40 hours a week) and one (1) Part-time position (up to 35 hours a week)Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Transit Program Manager, successful applicants will inspect transit vehicles and transport passengers safely and efficiently on fixed route or on-demand public transit system, complete required paperwork as necessaryEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Inspect and operate Tribal Transit vehicles for the purpose of transporting passengersAssists passengers in boarding and alighting bus, operation of ramps and wheelchair lifts as necessaryAssists in the loading and unloading of passenger baggage and other items as necessaryInspects and maintains Tribal Transit vehicles insuring safe operating conditionsMaintain professional image and provide excellent customer serviceAssure that required fares are deposited in fare box and provide customer information as neededMaintain records and complete all required paperworkComply with and promote safe practices in compliance with all Federal, State and local laws rules and guidelinesSkills Required:High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the positionMust possess valid Arizona Commercial Driver's license with Passenger Endorsement and be eligible to be placed on the Tribe's InsuranceMust demonstrate proficiency in Pre and Post Trip inspectionsMust have and maintain excellent attendance recordMust maintain positive and professional work environmentMust be able to pass mandatory drug screen and DOT physical prior to offer of employmentMust have a fingerprint clearance card or obtain one before hiredMust pass a background checkPosition requires physical effort such as walking, lifting (up to 40 pounds), standing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, assisting passengers with bags, assisting passengers with and securing wheelchairs or other mobility devicesPosition requires sitting for some length of time with constant head, arm, hand and foot movementPreference: All applicants are considered without regard to age, sex, race, national origin, religion, marital status, or physical disability.
