Part‑Time Practical Nurse Instructor – Day Program Bristol‑Plymouth Regional Technical School – Taunton, Massachusetts Starting Date: Sep 1, 2026 Job Description Part‑time (0.5 FTE) position available in the practical nurse program. The role requires classroom, lab, and simulation teaching during the full‑day program and staff coverage for the evening program as needed. Hours will be scheduled to meet the curriculum demands and the needs of students, following the school year calendar. Qualifications Hold a current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license in good standing (Registration). Hold or be working toward a Professional Licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (Certification). Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university (Education). Master’s degree in nursing preferred. Minimum of two years full‑time nursing experience, or equivalent, within the last five years and evidence of clinical competence in the areas of clinical instruction. Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Instruct, supervise, and evaluate students in nursing courses under the program coordinator’s supervision and in accordance with the school’s philosophy and objectives. Assume responsibility for assigned courses, including development and maintenance of course materials, syllabus, outline, test construction, and analysis. Participate in the governance of the parent institution and in monthly faculty meetings to evaluate program and student progress. Provide clinical supervision for up to ten practical nurse students per clinical group in clinical agencies. Develop and maintain a safe classroom environment conducive to effective learning. Employ a variety of instructional techniques to meet the needs of all students. Assist in and be responsible for evaluating program effectiveness according to the Program Systematic Evaluation Plan (SEP). Communicate regularly with other nursing instructors to ensure program consistency and establish a collaborative relationship. Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Programs Coordinator. Pay Range $50,692 – $119,014, depending on nursing and Chapter 74 experience.
